  In the past there were three ponds, but today there are only two left. The three ponds (Trije ribniki) are part of Maribor's city park and are surrounded by a walking trail. This is a wonderful place for walks and wildlife observation. Near the first pond is the restaurant "Trije ribniki", where they serve excellent Slovenian food and wine.

  Beautiful city park stretches a few kilometers. Enter from the city and take a nice stroll passing by a couple of ponds with many wildlife. Circular path takes you around the whole park. Numerous benches. Easy to walk with little incline. Restaurant in the middle too.
